For Lenzing’s product launch ceremony in China, the team sought to transition from traditional printed handouts to a more sustainable, digital alternative.


I designed a mobile-first event handout that change from one-time materials to a connected, real-time experience.

End-to-end design from user research to high-fidelity prototype

Problem

While physical handouts provide basic details such as schedules and locations, they present several critical limitations:

Low-value, static information

Content is often redundant and fixed, offering limited usefulness once users arrive at the event.

Fragmented and disconnected experience

Resources are scattered across multiple channels, requiring extra effort to access.

Lack of continuity across the event journey

Physical handouts cannot support real-time updates or post-event access to materials

Analysis

After understanding the limitation of physical handout, I started analyzing the design oppotunities, verifying function priorities, mapping out user scenarios.

Solution

Based on the problem analysis, I created hi-fi design screens: each flow and features address the pain points and user demands I identified in the user research.

Impact

The ceremony took place on April 18th, and 19th. From April 13 to April 24:
